Why Nine

The story behind the number

9 for Grief was born from love and loss. Our founder's mother passed away on July 9th, at just 35 years old — leaving behind children who suddenly knew grief far too young.

Each July, our community gives in multiples of nine to honor her memory and to make a promise to the children walking that same hard road today: no child should ever grieve alone.

Our 2026 Goal

Raise $9,000

This July, our community is giving in multiples of nine to reach $9,000 — enough to keep grief support flowing to children and families all year long. Every gift, large or small, moves a grieving child closer to healing.
